Join the EMA for the opportunity to tour two manufacturing facilities in one; Milwaukee Electronics and Screaming Circuits. The plant will be providing lunch, talking about how an internal start-up can help your business compete in a rapidly changing world, and hosting a factory tour.
From a distance Canby, Oregon seems like a quiet bedroom community of Portland, but for more than a decade now contract manufacturer Milwaukee Electronics and its online quick-turn division, Screaming Circuits, has had an influence far outside the local community. In 2003, the Screaming Circuits division brought electronics manufacturing to the Internet, and with it, business from thousands of companies around the country and the world. Since that time, personal, on-demand manufacturing has made life easier for engineers of all sorts. Screaming Circuits has built electronics that have gone up in to space, deep into the ocean, and pretty much everywhere in between.
The event will consist of a lunch and presentation followed by a tour.
